Trailer for the Archbishop Sheen Documentary

WTVP (the local Peoria PBS Station) will air the documentary on Sunday, April 18 at 9:30 p.m.

I DVRd it on WTVP when it first aired the other night and we finished watching it last night.  I found it beautifully produced and extremely moving.

Did anyone else see it and what did you think?  If you didn't, it is well worth the time!  You can order a DVD from the Sheen Foundation as well.

  1. I didn't get to see it, but my husband and three of the kids watched it. They were all focused on the whole thing! Now to just get them to narrate it back to me....

  2. I laughed often and got a little misty-eyed. It was an excellent show about a great American Catholic. Very well done.

  4. It was excellent! I appreciated the presentation of Archbishop Sheen's honest struggles to overcome personal weaknesses, while still rising to the constant challenge to be a more Christ-like priest to people. They captured many aspects of how profound Sheen's impact on the world was and not just to Catholics, but his ability to draw everyone...no matter where they were on their spiritual journey...into the fold. Excellent man, wonderful documentary, and prayers for his canonization. I laughed. I cried. It moved me.

  5. I just happened to catch it, and I loved it. Just loved it. I knew so little about him before I watched the documentary. I am looking forward to maybe Life with Christ or his Autobio now.
