I didn't get to see it, but my husband and three of the kids watched it. They were all focused on the whole thing! Now to just get them to narrate it back to me....
It was excellent! I appreciated the presentation of Archbishop Sheen's honest struggles to overcome personal weaknesses, while still rising to the constant challenge to be a more Christ-like priest to people. They captured many aspects of how profound Sheen's impact on the world was and not just to Catholics, but his ability to draw everyone...no matter where they were on their spiritual journey...into the fold. Excellent man, wonderful documentary, and prayers for his canonization. I laughed. I cried. It moved me.
I just happened to catch it, and I loved it. Just loved it. I knew so little about him before I watched the documentary. I am looking forward to maybe Life with Christ or his Autobio now.

ReplyDeleteI laughed often and got a little misty-eyed. It was an excellent show about a great American Catholic. Very well done.
ReplyDelete3 parts formed a tear in my eyes and I laughed during some parts. Very well done. Will watch it often as it is a must see.
